The Job Is Dead

by Giuliani Mugshot

/

about

This track features Doug Moore (Pyrrhon, Weeping Sores, Seputus) on vocals, with perfectly scathing lyrics about the police and their violence. "Written" and recorded between June 3rd and June 9th.

All sales will go to The Okra Project, which helps support the Black Trans community through food assistance, and the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund.

After Eric Garner was murdered, the NYPD took 5 years just to fire Daniel Pantaleo. He was never even charged with a crime. The NYPBA's reaction was to say "The job is dead" The job isn't dead, Eric Garner and countless innocent black people are dead, and it's time they answer for their crimes.

lyrics

Pose for the cameras in your plastic armor
Prideful descendant of the slavecatchers
Hard-crotched over dead pets and raped prisoners
Bloated pale pustule, your end’s drawing closer

Even through tear gas and burning rubber
Your rot and your fear stink on the breeze
Black mold bursts through the fragile badge
Piss dribbles down beneath ballistic greaves

You’re gonna get the respect you deserve
